LOC NINH LAUNCHES AN INTER-HOUSEHOLD FIRE PREVENTION AND FIGHTING SAFETY GROUP

Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Gia Hoa, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the ward People's Council; comrade Nguyen Van Trong, Vice Chairman of the ward People's Committee; and Lieutenant Colonel Le Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 11, Division PC07, Dong Nai City Police.

The model “Inter-household fire prevention and fighting safety group” in Quarter 3 was established with the participation of 10 households living and doing business in the Loc Ninh market area. The members are responsible for strictly implementing the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws and the regulations on fire prevention, fighting and rescue; for proactively monitoring the situation and for communicating with and mobilising households to comply with fire safety regulations.

In addition, the group is tasked with inspecting and maintaining fire safety conditions; developing escape plans in the event of an incident; preparing on-the-spot fire fighting forces and equipment; and coordinating fire fighting and rescue operations when a fire, explosion or other incident occurs in the area.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Van Trong, Vice Chairman of the ward People's Committee, asked the members of the group to uphold their sense of responsibility and strictly observe the operating regulations; to proactively inspect and prevent fire and explosion risks in their households and residential area; and to regularly train and practise skills in using on-the-spot fire fighting equipment, thereby helping to improve the effectiveness of fire prevention and fighting in the locality.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, delegates and residents visited the fire alarm systems installed in the participating households; and received guidance and practice in using on-the-spot fire extinguishers.

The establishment of the inter-household fire prevention and fighting safety group helps promote the “four on-the-spot” motto, raise proactive prevention awareness and improve initial response capacity in the event of fire or explosion, thereby ensuring the safety of people's lives and property and building a residential area that is safe in terms of fire prevention and fighting./.
