CONFERENCE ON REVIEWING THE CRITERIA FOR SELECTING AND CALLING UP CITIZENS FOR MILITARY SERVICE IN 2027

On the afternoon of 6 August 2026, the Military Service Council of Loc Ninh Ward held a conference to review the criteria for selecting and calling up citizens for military service in 2027.

Attending and directing the conference was comrade Nguyen Gia Hoa, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the ward People's Council; comrade Nguyen Thi Nghia, Chairwoman of the People's Committee and Chairwoman of the ward Military Service Council, chaired the conference. Also present were members of the ward Military Service Council, quarter heads and quarter military unit commanders in the locality.

At the conference, the ward Military Service Council approved the report on the results of reviewing and managing the pool of citizens of eligible age for military service in 2027. On the basis of the review results, compared against the criteria on politics, ethics, health, educational level, family circumstances and current regulations, the Council examined each case on the principles of democracy, openness, fairness and compliance with the law.

Delegates focused on discussing and giving opinions on the list of citizens not selected for call-up, the list of citizens with deferred call-up and the list of those eligible for military service health examinations. As a result, the Council agreed that 897 out of 1,508 citizens are eligible to take part in the military service health examination, and 611 cases are considered for deferral of call-up in accordance with regulations.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Gia Hoa acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility of the ward Military Service Council and the quarters in reviewing and managing the pool of citizens ready for military service. He asked the ward People's Committee, the ward Military Command, the Ward Police, agencies, units and the quarter management boards to continue strengthening communication on the Law on Military Service; to closely manage the pool of citizens of call-up age; to strictly implement the process of selecting and calling up citizens for military service; and to strictly handle violations in accordance with regulations, with the determination to successfully fulfil the 2027 recruitment targets in both quantity and quality./.
