At the launching ceremony, leaders of the People's Committee of Loc Ninh Ward affirmed that this is a practical activity of great significance in protecting the environment, building a civilised way of life and working towards a green, clean and beautiful locality. In order to change people's awareness and habits and to form a sense of self-discipline, the whole political system must join hands in communication, guidance and mobilisation, gradually bringing waste sorting into order and turning it into a daily habit.
In addition, the ward focuses on investing in infrastructure and equipment for waste sorting, collection and treatment. Correct sorting helps reduce the volume of waste that has to be treated, increases the potential for reuse and recycling, saves resources and protects the environment.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Loc Ninh Ward presented 70 waste bins to households in Quarter 7, the quarter that registered to carry out the pilot model of source separation of solid waste.
Through this model, Loc Ninh Ward aims to raise the community's responsibility for environmental protection and to gradually replicate effective practices in other quarters, agencies and schools, contributing to building a Loc Ninh Ward that is increasingly green, clean and civilised.
